Scary Halloweens and Great Vacations
Looking for Halloween ideas? Make this year a memorable one with your family and head down to Orlando. Spend your vacation visiting some of the finest amusement parks that are filled with Halloween ideas and games that you and your kids can enjoy.
There are a few tricks up Sea World’s sleeves this year; your kids can experience a unique and non-terrifying environment by following maps to 15 different “candy” stations throughout the park and gather as many delicious treats as possible. There’s this event they call “Spooktacular” where you can meet all sorts of amazing and exciting sea creatures like sea horses and dolphins. To the beat of a rocking DJ, you can dance along side of an ice witch and roller skating break dancers and be a part of many wonderful Halloween games. Your family will stay entertained for hours watching the fluorescent flamingos and all the amazing tropical fish.
No park is complete without the Sesame Street friends: Elmo and Count von Count will be counting down to Halloween onstage with a special guest appearance from the Gummy Worm Wanda. You may even get a chance encounter with Wanda when she is raoming the streets which will be such a treat for your little ones. So don’t forget to dress your kids in Halloween costumes, and parents are encouraged too!
A kid-friendly version of spooky Halloween is being offered at Disney World. As usual for Disney World, you’ll meet world-famous Disney characters all over the park and Mickey will be hosting his spookiest Halloween party yet. And of course, there will be “trick-or-treating” going on throughout the day. To end the night, at the conclusion of Mickey’s party, it will all end with a bang with an amazing fireworks display and a special holiday parade. Halloween gifts and shopping options are also available at Mickey’s and other stores around the park for family souvenirs. There are many special events which your ticket purchase will give you access to; advance purchase on certain dates and annual-pass holders are eligible for discounts.
Undoubtedly, the place in Orlando for a truly “terrifying” Halloween experience is Universal Studios. This is a world famous theme park event that will bring in even the most die hard horror fans from all over the globe to have their thirst for “SCARY” satisfied. Whether it be the haunted houses or the popular Horror Night mazes, you’ll equally love the ‘horror’ factor that these attractions provide. Other scary places that are a must to creep in to are the Intense scare zones and Bill and Ted’s Excellent Halloween Adventure. The past Halloween’s at Universal Studios will seem juvenile compared to the SCARINESS they have planned for this year. Use caution before bringing children as Universal Studios even recommends on its websites that some material in Horror Nights may be too explicit for the younger ones.
Regardless of whether you’re looking for the ultimate freak out, or a relaxing treat-filled tour of the Magic Kingdom with your kids, Orlando is the place to be this year. While you’re in Orlando, there are many choices for lodging accommodations, thousands of beautiful hotels, and hundreds of resorts such as The Fountains, a luxurious resort offered in many Bluegreen vacation packages. Come enjoy the sun and get spooked out!
